When you have a possible neurological or balance disorder, you may want an immediate diagnosis and evaluation of your condition, not hours of waiting at the diagnostic center outside of the clinic. That’s why we offer ENG testing on-site at our two locations (serving the Metro Detroit area in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, MI) on all weekdays (from Monday to Friday). So, you can undergo the test at our in-house lab and get the results quickly.
An Electronystagmography (ENG) test is performed to measure the movement of your eyes to determine the functioning of your two cranial nerves (acoustic or vestibulocochlear nerve and oculomotor nerve) in your brain. The acoustic nerve connects the inner ear and the brain, thus controlling balance and hearing. The oculomotor nerve connects the brain to the eye muscles, being responsible for the movement of your eyes.
